Nice hosting with an environmentally friendly focus

Biz.nf Web Hosting is a site that provides eco-friendly green hosting solutions with free and low-cost options for hosting and domain services. They promise no banner advertisements, no banner ads, and no other forced ads on their pages even though they offer free services. They offer VPS solutions, low cost SSL certificates, and other free- to low-cost web service choices. Bz.nf Web Hosting is better for personal or very small business use as their infrastructure cannot support anything much bigger. However, with a number of free options, it is a good option for start-ups and small web hosting preferences.

Additionally they offer personal and business plans at a very low cost and each option has corresponding features included in the purchase price, with the business plan offering the most options to you and the free options being quite limited. Additionally, Biz.nf offers website builders with different builders available depending on your package you prefer. Each plan also offers a support system with 24/7 support through ticketing, FAQs, and live chat.

Uptime & Reliability

Good quality hosting with 99.9% uptime guarantee

Their reliability is at a minimum 99.9% uptime. They do not guarantee a 99.9% uptime for the free hosting services, however, it is guaranteed with the paid plans. They do not host their free and paid clients on the same web servers therefore they can guarantee a higher uptime for the paying clients. They separate their free and paid servers in order to provide better customer service, reliability and customer support for their paying clients.

Mostly typical features with a few nice perks

Biz.nf presents a host of free services such as hosting, domain registration, and website building. The free plans include 250MB of web space and 5000MB of data transfer, 1 free domain hosting, and a slew of other features that only increase with each bigger plan you purchase. Additionally, each plan offers site builders, data backups, no advertisements, green eco-hosting, a multitude of basic email features, website management, and 24/7 support. Additionally, with each paid plan you get a top level domain (.com, .net, etc).

Support

Surprisingly good support for a free hosting company

Biz.nf offers 24/7 support for both free and paid plans with a ticketing, live chat, and a self-help support center with 24/7 access. They suggest opening a separate ticket in order to address each issue. They do not mention any time frame in which they answer said tickets, and the site seems to rely heavily on their support and help section of the page hosting account Control Panel.

Some free hosting with extras costing money

Biz.nf Web Hosting prices are very inexpensive as a result of their free services. However, their upgraded paid plans offer many more options than the free ones, and offer a number of additional services. Their prices are inexpensive if paid on a yearly basis, and even cheaper if paid on 2 or 3 year terms. Their private SSL certificates range in price depending on your need with the cheapest one being $29.95 a year. Additionally, they offer cheap VPS hosting services based on your need. Also, for each paid plan, they offer a 30 day money back guarantee. In addition to all free servicers, you can join their affiliate program and get paid for referrals to using their services, even with the free hosting plans.

What do you expect

We wanted a 'simple' WordPres website for ou team and decide to give Biz.nf a try.
We created an account, in the Dashboard we got the msg. that the site would be up in about 5 mints (we used the automatic setup route). After 2 hours?! it finally was. That is/was not such a problem but a little ..ehm.. can happen.
Installing plugins takes a little long but okay, at least all seem to work. But after a few days all seem not to go that well, lots of delays (slow page loads, slow refresh back end (Wordpress admin) and all feels a little heavy).
But we had only 30 postings, a few pages and 4 users, and about 200 comments. What would happend after halve a year when the site grows in the tempo we did now after a month. We had no idea and to be honest, didn't want to wait for and taking the risk.

How much you can expect from a free hoster ppl would say. True, do not demand/expect things where you have to pay for normally, but a webhoster which offers some should at least offer some basics. Like mod_expire (google likes that a lot and helps for better ranking) but they do not!! support mod_expire because (their words) : We regret to inform you that mod_expires is not supported on our hosting environment due to security reasons.
Sorry but that is the last reason to expect from a web-hoster for not supporting such a basic 'thing' and for us (another) good reason to move on and find a hoster which has another opinion.

To make this long (for some probably not such an interesting) story short, as long you do not expect much, have time and do not mind to be off-line for sometimes halve a day it is probably a nice friendly hoster.
They are polite, and responding fast on ticket request but sadly enough not reliable for us. Imho are there enough other hosters, which offer the same (free/space/domain), are more reliable and still give the freedom for even little websites to display what they want in a normal envirement.

Easy to manage

I very like this hosting,you can get even free domain so cool.Limits in free version is pretty large,no ads, build site in minutes with automatic installer(joomla).Very nice.

Great free host

I used biz.nf because I wanted a domain better than "merlin04.github.io/pmft" but didn't want to pay for it. Biz.nf provided a free domain and hosting. They don't have many advanced features, but they are free, so what do you expect. It worked great for a simple HTML file.

unable to access biz.nf from USA

I have had biz.nf for a long time, but over that last few weeks i haven't been able to access biz.nf from the USA... it has worked on and off, but getting anything done is impossible now. My websites still work from anywhere, but i can't login to the biz.nf cpanel and edit settings.

it is very good.

I have had a free account for several months now. They had one outage for a day or two, but other than that it has been rock solid.

Other than that outage, the web hosting has been awesome. I mean seriously, it's free and they don't put ads on your page? How do they provide this for free? Anyone who complains about this is insane.

The dashboard is wonderful. You can create and edit files easily, or use FTP to load files from your computer.

It's free, it works, it has pretty good uptime. and no ads. How do they do it?

Biz.nf free web hosting provides quite limited resources that is clearly stated on Biz.nf web site as well as in our TOS, and in general our free hosting plan is recommended for smaller websites that do not require much resources.

And this is Biz.nf policy not to offer unreal/huge resources for free. Instead, Biz.nf offers a secure platform and quite limited free hosting plan. That enables Biz.nf to provide good quality free hosting services since 2008, unlike those "free hosts" with huge plans and abnormal offerings that close down within few months of their operation.

As for Wordpress, it is becoming more and more heavy from version to version. It is still possible to run Wordpress on free plan, however, if one wants to enjoy the speeds, then one is recommended to run Wordpress on VPS or even Dedicated server, because shared hosting platform (both free and paid) often can not handle larger Wordpress sites properly. This refers to all shared web hosting providers, not just Biz.nf.

Anyway, thank you for posing your opinion about our services! I hope you find a free host with less limited hosting plan that is able to offer those services for quite a long time.

Good hosting

There running my wordpress and fast. Np problem updates like on premium hostings..
Only minus is there, the only 5GB transfer/month :/

Thank you for your positive feedback! Yes, free hosting does have limits, it is mainly proposed for a personal homepage or small business sites that do not require lots of resources. And we hope one likes our service so much that he/she decides to upgrade to a paid service when his/her site becomes bigger. However, if one does not decide to upgrade, he/she is welcome to use a free hosting service as long as he/she wish to do :)
