But how well do GreenGeeks servers actually perform? 

I’ve tested the home page using GTMetrix and Pagespeed Insights, so we can compare the results and see how GreenGeeks stacks up against the competition. And I have to say – I’m impressed with the results.

GreenGeeks promises fast speeds and responsive content, and for the most part, it delivers. Structure was solid, meaning the site is reliably responsive; and everything loaded quickly. 

However, based on the GTMetrix results the total blocking time could be improved.

The PageSpeed Insights results were a bit different, showing a much better TBT. Largest Contentful Paint could be loading quicker – but I think overall the results show that GreenGeeks sites are pretty reliable and responsive, if not always perfect.

I found them to be responsive, knowledgeable, and flexible overall.

The best and most direct way of contacting GreenGeeks customer support is the 27/4 live chat. 

Click the live chat bubble and then fill in the short form before being connected to an agent. 

I was happy to be connected immediately to a human agent rather than an AI chatbot. 

Not only that, but responses were timely and helpful. Overall – pretty good! 

Phone Lines

GreenGeek phone support lines are open between 9am and 12am EST. This is only really a good solution for US-based customers. 

When I tried calling the numbers the call didn’t connect, so I can’t really comment on the quality of support received. It’s disappointing though. 

Email Support

There are different GreenGeeks support emails for different issues, and this is one of the faster ways to get support. 

I sent an email and really did receive a response in around 10 minutes – like promised.

From here select your preferred hosting plan, considering the features and cost carefully before finalizing. 

Once you’ve either created a new domain or transferred an existing one, input your personal details, and then choose your server location and addons. 

When registration is complete you’ll receive a confirmation email and should be able to sign in to the GreenGeeks user dashboard.

GreenGeeks uses a traditional cPanel interface for all hosting plans as a default – ideal for both experienced and beginner users. 

You can access the cPanel from your user dashboard directly.
